We are back with Holly Days!
This game is awesome, and was introduced to me when I was 14. It too, became a tradition through out the holidays.
This game, for those who don’t know, is a game of words or phrase one person sees, and everyone else is trying to guess. You have certain amount of time to guess, and the person describing it can not use the words they have in front of them.
Sounds easy right? Hell no it’s not! LOL.
We have a blast playing it, and loved the ideas people would come up with to get the point across. It’s a great way to get the kids to learn word usage, and become a walking dictionary. Of course you want to make sure the kids understand the concept of the game, and old enough to have a vocabulary to play. If not, I always used my younger kids as time keepers. Young kids love being in charge of something.
Reason why I love this game, not only does it bring everyone together, but really expands you vocabulary. It also lets you see how others think in a sense. Not everyone sees everything the same way, and you may be surprised on how thoughts and hints are brought out to win.
It’s better played if you have a lot of people to play and split into groups. Great New Years party game (hint hint)! Try it out and see if you have fun like we do!
