Up next we have Predestination.
Aww geez, this one is crazy as hell, but in a great way.
The movie stars Ethan Hawke, as a time traveling cop who’s mission is to prevent bad things from happening in the past. This movie as so many twist and turns it’s just unbelievably good. I watched this while my youngest was gone, and recommend if you have kids, to shoo them away.
This movie is great because of it’s detail. That’s also why you need to have complete attention on it. No distractions, or multitasking. You just have to watch. It’s starts with the bartender/agent(Hawke) meeting the unmarried mother(Sarah Snook).
They began to chat, like any bartender does with his customer.
That’s all I can tell you. Why?
The twists and turns began there. If I explain anything else, I give away the movie. What I will say is it a great period themed movie, and they did a great job on capturing that. It was like it was another character within the movie. Sometimes time travel movies are made, and it’s cheesy as hell. This wasn’t one of them. It was the detail of the time periods that kept your attention with the story.
I know this one is short, but that is because I can’t just tell one thing with out explaining the other without giving the whole movie away. It’s a great science fiction movie that I would put on the list with Inception, but not as trippy, just very, very, very detailed. I couldn’t understand Inception, this one I understood fully and was like ‘whoa’ by the end. No sequel is needed, but if done, they better do it right.
This one I give 10 leaps out of 10. This movie was a little slow at first, but it’s needed. It’s a build up. Even when you build up to a point, here comes the twist and turn, and it just never stops. It’s an intelligent roller coaster, that when your done, you may want to ride again. You may just want to take the feeling and just let it sink in and be shocked for the next couple days. I want to read the short story this was based off of ‘All you zombies’. It was just…….no words.
