Peeps!
As promised we started #tastytuesdays! This week will be different from the rest since we have a holiday at the end, so I have two for today, and the valentine’s day post that will include recipes in there as well. Hope you enjoy these entries as well!
Banana Split Cake
1 Banana Supreme Cake Mix
1 carton of fresh strawberries, rinsed, dried, and sliced.
2 bananas peeled and sliced.
1 container of cool whip
1 crushed pineapples
Chocolate Syrup
Bake cake as directed in two cake pans. Put cakes in the refrigerator for 30-45 mins, or until cool. Once cooled off put first layer on plate. Top with cut strawberries, bananas and crushed pineapple. Place second layer on top. Began to add cool whip icing to cover cake. Top with remainder fruit. Spoon a little of the pineapple in the center of the cake. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the cake. Make sure to store in the refrigerator afterwards.
Bourbon Marinade
1 cup honey bourbon
1/2 cup brown sugar or honey
1 cup ketchup
2 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp white vinegar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp apple butter
salt and pepper to taste
Put all ingredients into a sauce pan. Stir and bring to a simmer. You can use for an overnight marinade, bake in oven with meat, or brush on meat on the grill. Best used with fish or chicken.
