Chip Election 2015!

Who is your alliance with?! I got the scoop here!

We finally got done with our voting for the Lays flavor chips of the year!

Chip Election 2015

The crew and I bought each of the flavors:

New York Reuben

West Coast Truffle Fries

Greektown Gyros

Southern Biscuits and Gravy

I even got momhulk and brohulk in on the interviews too! You know they are going to be interesting……

We first tried the reuben chips before we moved. The general consenus was they were a little spicy, and ok, but not close to the sandwich flavor. I perosnally don’t remember when a reuben sandwich was spicy, but maybe I’m losing it. The crew wasn’t the keen on the flavor, but these are kids who would eat the strange and unusual if I let them.

Grade: C. Great idea, but the flavor was a let down. No votes on those.

Next was the Truffle Fries and Gyro flavored chips. I bought those out here after the move, and I must admit, they were good. The truffle fries were good……for being sourcream and onion flavored. Now, doesn’t mean I hate sour cream and onion chips, because believe it or not, I actually love the flavor with a great turkey on wheat. My problem, and the same with momhulk and brohulk, is if  wanted that, I would have bought sour cream and onion chips.

We moved to the gyro chips. Now, those chips…….who ever came up with the recipe and idea was genius. They were so close to the flavor, and it wasn’t faint at all! I was so happy with this bag of chips. Finally a flavor I can get down with.

Truffle Grade: D. Common evaluation was it was a bad sour cream and onion rip off that cost too much.

Gyro Grade: B. I was just missing the gyro. LOL

We have the biscuits and gravy. Peeps. I got to warn you. If you buy these, buy multiples! We fought over these chips. This was a great subsitute for the real thing if you can’t cook! We made those chips disappear faster than BBQ Ribs.

Biscuit and Gravy Grade: A. I would say an A+ if the bag was full, but you know that would never happen.

What that means peeps is the CSM Crew is throwing its support to the southern biscuit and gravy campaign. Try them out and let me know what you think on facebook, twitter, or instagram.

Let the election season begin!

I’m wondering if the Lays marketing R & D department isn’t high all the time with the new flavors!
